Our Impact

Real Stories. Real Change. Real Empowerment.

Every project we run at NSUDWOP begins with a story, a woman reclaiming her confidence, a young person finding their voice, or a child receiving the care and support they deserve.

Our impact isn’t measured only in numbers. It lives in communities transformed, voices amplified, and futures rewritten.

From Kisumu’s informal settlements to rural villages, we’ve proven that when women and communities lead, lasting change follows.

Where We Work

Our presence continues to grow across Kisumu County and beyond:

  • Nyalenda: Home to our “Voices Unmuted” dialogues and women’s savings groups.
  • Obunga: Youth advocacy and creative arts for SRHR awareness.
  • Manyatta: Economic empowerment and child support initiatives.

Each location tells a different story — yet all share the same heartbeat of resilience and hope.

???? Stories That Inspire Us

Mary’s Journey – From Silence to Strength
Mary, a young woman from Nyalenda, once felt voiceless in her community. Through our Voices Unmuted project, she became a mural artist and a peer educator, now using color and conversation to advocate for women’s rights.

James’ Story – Youth Leading Change
After attending one of NSUDWOP’s leadership dialogues, James started a youth group that mentors boys on gender equality and emotional health. Today, his group collaborates with local schools to challenge gender stereotypes.

By the Numbers

5+ Communities Reached
100+ Women Empowered
50+ Youth Leaders Trained
1,500+ Community Members Engaged
30+ Active Volunteers

Every statistic represents a story of courage and collaboration – proof that collective effort can change lives.

Our Sustainable Impact Model

Our approach is designed to ensure long-term transformation:

  1. Listen – We begin by understanding community realities and aspirations.
  2. Engage – We collaborate with local leaders, artists, and youth groups.
  3. Empower – We train, support, and connect community members.
  4. Sustain – We measure impact, adapt, and scale successful models.

This model ensures that our impact doesn’t end with a project, it grows with each community.

What’s Next

We’re expanding our reach beyond Kisumu to new counties in Western Kenya. Scaling our economic empowerment programs and art-based advocacy model.

With more partnerships, we can reach 1,000+ additional women and youth by next year – building a ripple effect of empowerment across the region.
